Demarie Barbaresco typically exhibits a deep pale red color with hints of garnet as it ages, typical of Nebbiolo. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of red fruits such as sour cherries and tart red plums, accompanied by floral notes of rose petals and violets. There are also often hints of spices like tar and flint, as well as earthy undertones. On the palate, this Barbaresco showcases a harmonious balance between fruit concentration and its muscular structure. The racy acidity and grippy tannins provide the framework for the flavors of red berries and savory elements like licorice and forest floor to shine.

Demarie Barbaresco receives praise for its complex flavors of cherry, forest floor, and floral notes, with well-balanced tannins and structure. While many appreciate its aging potential and pairing with hearty dishes, some note it falls short of exceptional status compared to similar wines. Reviews highlight both youthful vibrancy and mature sophistication across vintages.
