Inky purple in the glass, the Criss Cross Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a bouquet of blackcurrant, cassis, and graphite, underscored by subtle hints of cedar and forest floor leaf. The palate is robust and full-bodied, showcasing a harmonious interplay of ripe blackberry and dark chocolate, framed by firm, velvety tannins and a backbone of vibrant acidity. This wine's structure is both muscular and refined, with a long, persistent finish marked by notes of espresso and a touch of minerality. A quintessential expression of its region, this Cabernet offers both immediate appeal and potential for graceful aging.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Criss Cross Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from grapes sourced in California's Lodi region, known for its warm days and cool nights, which contribute to the wine's ripe fruit character and balanced acidity. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of fruit flavors, followed by aging in a combination of French and American oak barrels to impart subtle vanilla and spice notes. This Cabernet Sauvignon offers a full-bodied style with rich flavors of dark berries and a smooth, approachable finish, making it suitable for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.
