What the web is saying

Clos Apalta is celebrated for its rich, full-bodied profile, with flavors of dark fruits, chocolate, and spices. Many appreciate its smooth tannins and elegant finish, while some find it overly complex. The wine's aging potential and harmonious blend of Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot are frequently praised. However, a few reviews suggest it may not always justify its high price. Overall, it's a standout Chilean red.

Voss Experts4.5

This superb Chilean red blend from Clos Apalta is a blend of Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Rich and bold in character, this wine exhibits intense aromas of dark fruits, forest floor, and leather. On the palate, the wine has a velvety texture, with a well-integrated acidity and structured tannins. The finish is long and persistent, with hints of sweet spices and dark berries. An exceptional and complex wine that will surely please the most discerning of palates.
