Remondo
Rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, dark color. The tastes are complex, with a warm, spicy accent and a suggestion of sweetness. The fruit is dense and luscious, with a black cherry and concentrated fruit profile. As the wine opens, it reveals a smooth, round texture. The follow through is long and satisfying. The wine has a good seamlessness of tannins and acidity. The 90 points from James Suckling and 89 from Wine Enthusiast are well-deserved. A captivating quality for the price. The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. It was a bit tight on initial opening, but improved with age. The label on the back of the bottle is a nice touch, but more producers should consider adding this format to their products. I purchased it for $21.99. I plan to return it.
