Casarena Areyna Malbec 2024

Casarena Areyna Malbec is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with notes of dark and red fruits, oak, and smooth tannins. While some enjoy its complexity and balance, others find it unappealing or too bold. Common flavors include blueberry, blackberry, plum, and chocolate, with hints of pepper and forest floor. The wine's finish is often described as long and satisfying, though some report a dry, puckering sensation.

The 2021 Casarena Areyna Malbec presents a deep, inky purple hue, characteristic of its Mendoza origins. On the nose, it offers an inviting bouquet of ripe blackberries, plums, and a hint of violet, underscored by subtle notes of dark chocolate and spice. The palate is robust yet elegantly structured, with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and lift. Layers of dark fruit flavors unfold, complemented by a whisper of minerality, leading to a long, satisfying finish. This Malbec exemplifies the varietal's potential for depth and complexity, making it a benchmark for the region.
