Casarena Areyna Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Casarena Areyna Cabernet Sauvignon is noted for its rich, full-bodied profile with blackberry, cherry, and oak flavors. While some appreciate its smooth tannins and subtlety, others find the tannins overwhelming. The wine pairs well with mild cheeses but can clash with stronger flavors. Its fruit-forward nature and hints of chocolate and vanilla are praised, though some find it a decent but not exceptional value.

This Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep garnet hue, inviting with an aromatic bouquet of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and a hint of graphite. On the palate, it unfolds with a robust structure, showcasing finely grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides a refreshing counterpoint to its concentrated fruit core. Layers of cassis and plum are interwoven with subtle notes of cedar and dark chocolate, leading to a long, elegant finish. This wine exemplifies the Mendoza region's potential, offering both immediate appeal and the promise of graceful evolution over the next several years.
