Sophisticated and elegant wine with a mild brown tint, its colour is neither too light nor too dark. The tactile quality is medium plus, with a fine and soft finish. The style is cool, with high acidity, and the flavour profile is characterised by layers of charcuterie, strawberries, raspberries, and a suggestion of tobacco, cherry, and spice.

What the web is saying

Casanova di Neri Giovanni Neri Rosso di Montalcino is praised for its sophisticated elegance and complex red fruit flavors, with notes of cherry, raspberry, and plum. While some appreciate its high acidity and crisp finish, others note a slightly bitter aftertaste. The wine's silky tannins and balanced texture make it approachable, though some vintages promise further development. It is a well-regarded choice for those seeking a refined drinking experience.

Voss Experts4.8

This Casanova di Neri Giovanni Neri Rosso di Montalcino is a beautiful expression of Sangiovese from the Tuscan region. On the nose, it offers aromas of cherries, plums, sweet spices, and leather. On the palate, it shows a generous medium body, with grainy tannins and well-integrated acidity. The finish is complex, featuring notes of forest floor. Enjoy this classic Italian red with porchetta on a Sunday.
