Capstone is crafted from grapes grown in the cool-climate vineyards of the Sonoma Coast, where the Pacific Ocean's influence ensures a long growing season and vibrant acidity. This wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh fruit character, followed by partial aging in French oak barrels to add subtle complexity. The result is a balanced wine with bright fruit notes and a crisp finish, designed for those who appreciate a harmonious blend of freshness and depth. Ideal for pairing with a variety of dishes or enjoying on its own.

Capstone presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The nose is a symphony of dark plum and blackcurrant, underscored by hints of cedar and a whisper of graphite, suggesting a classic Bordeaux influence. On the palate, the wine reveals a full-bodied structure with finely grained tannins, seamlessly integrated with a core of ripe blackberry and subtle mocha. The acidity is well-poised, providing a refreshing lift to the concentrated fruit profile. The finish is long and complex, with lingering notes of dark chocolate and a mineral edge, marking it as a distinguished example of its region.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.
