Sileno
Harmonious and elegant wine that has aged remarkably well, its complex aromas and undertones continue to unfold with each passing year. The initial notes of smoke, spice, and vanilla give way to a soft raspberry undertone, during the lasting impression is featured by a dry, polished grip and a lively acidity.

The wine's delicate nuances are enhanced by its age, which has allowed it to develop a rich, dimensional character. The aromas of cinnamon, blackberry, and cherry are primarily well-balanced, whereas the addition of soya, licorice, and tobacco adds intensity and warmth. The ending is slightly drying, but overall, the wine is a masterclass in aging. It's a delicate wine that benefits from a long-term aging process, but it's still drinkable now. I recommend serving it within the next 10 years to fully appreciate its full potential.

Capezzana Carmignano Villa di Capezzana is praised for its harmonious blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, offering rich fruit flavors, earthy notes, and a smooth texture. While some appreciate its aging potential and complex aromas, others find certain vintages lacking in finesse. The wine often features cherry, forest floor, and spice, with a balanced acidity and tannins, making it a versatile choice for pairing with hearty dishes.
This Carmignano Villa di Capezzana from Capezzana is a deeply complex wine. On the nose, it offers a bouquet of ripe black cherries, blackberries, and dried herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with bright and vibrant acidity, and an array of red fruit flavors, including raspberry, pomegranate, and red currant. Its tannin structure is soft and supple, and its finish is long, lingering, and delightful. Overall, this is a delightful wine that will pair nicely with a variety of dishes.
