What the web is saying

Caparzo Rosso di Montalcino is appreciated for its rich red fruit flavors, smooth texture, and balanced tannins. While some find it elegant and well-structured, others note a lack of complexity and depth. The wine's earthy undertones and hints of oak are frequently mentioned, making it a versatile choice for pairing with food. Overall, it offers a satisfying experience, though opinions vary on its value compared to Brunello.

Voss Experts3.8

This full-bodied, ruby-hued Caparzo Rosso di Montalcino offers aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and mocha, with subtle notes of spice, forest floor, and dried herbs. The palate is juicy and vibrant, with a balanced and elegant structure that showcases bright flavors of red plum, red cherry, and crushed raspberry. The finish is long, savory, and persistent, with lingering notes of dried herbs, black pepper, and earthy minerality. Enjoy now and over the next 5-8 years.
