What the web is saying

Ca'Montebello Sangue di Giuda is praised for its sweet, fruity profile with notes of berries, cherries, and a touch of effervescence. While some appreciate its versatility and dessert wine qualities, others find it unconventional for traditional red wine lovers. Its refreshing, smooth texture and vibrant aromas make it a favorite for both new and seasoned wine drinkers, especially when paired with desserts or spicy dishes.

Voss Experts4.5

This vibrant ruby-hued Sangue di Giuda offers an enticing bouquet of ripe red berries, black cherry, and subtle floral notes, underscored by a hint of spice. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with a soft, velvety texture, balanced by refreshing acidity and a gentle effervescence. The interplay of sweet and savory elements is deftly managed, showcasing flavors of juicy plum, raspberry coulis, and a touch of cocoa. The finish is smooth and slightly sweet, with a lingering note of candied violets. This wine exemplifies the approachable yet intriguing nature of Lombardy's unique sweet reds.
