Bodega K5 Pilota 2024

The wine's unapologetic straightforwardness is a lively trait, but it may not be the most sophisticated pairing choice. The profile is led by by a crisp citrus character, which is certainly a comforting trait. However, the wine's tartness is quite pronounced, and it may be overwhelming for some palates. A salad with smoked salmon and goat cheese could be a good match, but pairing it with something creamy, such as a tuna toast with alioli, might be a better option. The zest is quite high, and it may be a bit too much for some drinkers.

A lively and zesty txakoli with a nice integration of zest and light fruit notes, comprising pineapple, apple, and lime

A rare opportunity to sample Txakolina wines from Bodega K5, a young 2019 vintage, with a unique aging process. The wine boasts a bright yellow citrus aroma and high acidity, making it a stonking discovery for those looking to compare different wines from the Pays Basque region.
