This Grenache is celebrated for its vibrant red fruit flavors, including strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, complemented by warm spice notes and smooth tannins. While some praise its balanced acidity and full-bodied richness, others describe it as light and easy-drinking. A few reviews mention tartness or simplicity, but most highlight its harmonious structure and refreshing finish, making it a versatile choice for various occasions.
The Birichino Besson Vineyard Vieilles Vignes Grenache is a remarkable wine. With its deep ruby color, this wine immediately captivates the eye. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle hints of spice and earthiness. On the palate, this Grenache reveals its full potential. It is medium-bodied with a velvety texture that coats the mouth in a luxurious manner. The flavors of red berries continue to dominate, complemented by notes of black pepper and a touch of leather. The wine's well-integrated tannins provide structure and balance, leading to a long and satisfying finish. The Birichino Besson Vineyard Vieilles Vignes Grenache is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has the potential to age gracefully. Its complexity and depth make it a perfect companion for hearty dishes, such as roasted lamb or grilled steak.
