Banfi ExcelsuS 2018

Harmonious and elegant glass of rich, supple red gold

Wine with a considerable amount of time left in its cellar, despite its age, is a testament to its quality and potential for further development. The wine's vibrant and ripe characteristics, such as red apple skin and crushed raspberry, are significantly noteworthy. The strength of darker tones of tobacco adds richness and intricacy to the overall profile. The wine's tannins are dense, but its lasting impression is soft and inviting. It is recommended to drink this wine soon, as its quality is likely to continue to improve over time.

Concentrated and nuanced Tuscan red, with a deep, mellow mouthfeel and a long, pleasing finish. The nose is controlled by by intense fruit and chocolate notes, with mild suggestions of oak and spice. On the palate, tastes of plum, leather, and coffee are balanced by a smooth, polished texture and a lingering finale of spicy warmth. The aftertaste is long and satisfying, with a nuanced dryness that leaves the impression feeling clean and refreshed. A superb selection for those who appreciate a full-bodied, structured red wine with a rich, multi faceted character.
