Altruria Cabernet Sauvignon is praised for its full-bodied richness, complex flavors of black fruit, forest floor, and cedar, and a smooth, silky finish. While some appreciate its well-balanced tannins and opulent texture, others find it overpowering with dominant cigar notes. The wine pairs well with hearty dishes, though some suggest decanting to enhance its character.
Inky and profound in the glass, the Altruria Cabernet Sauvignon opens with an intricate bouquet of cassis, black cherry, and graphite, underscored by subtle hints of cedar and forest floor leaf. The palate is robust and well-structured, showcasing a harmonious interplay of ripe blackberry and dark chocolate, framed by finely-grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that ensures longevity. The finish is expansive, with lingering notes of espresso and a whisper of dried herbs. This Cabernet exemplifies the quintessential characteristics of its region, offering both power and elegance, and promises further evolution with cellaring.
