The medium ruby color is a testament to its age, and the medium to medium+ intensity for the nose is a hallmark of its layers and nuance. The vanilla, oak, and plum hints are expertly balanced, with a whisper of earthy and floral undertones. The dry, medium bracing quality and medium+ tannins provide a soft and plush texture, during the 13.5% abv ensures a rewarding finish. A wine that is both familiar and exciting, with a second visit that only serves to reaffirm its place in my top tier of Malbecs.
