Alovini Terra Degli Eventi Basilicata Rosso is praised for its robust, full-bodied nature and smooth texture. It features juicy, fruity flavors with earthy undertones and a refined, dry finish. While some appreciate its balanced blend of Aglianico and Sangiovese, others highlight its rich forest fruit profile with notes of blackcurrant, cherry, and spices.
This Basilicata Rosso presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. On the nose, it unfurls a bouquet of ripe black cherry and plum, interwoven with hints of dried herbs and a subtle mineral undertone, reflective of its volcanic terroir. The palate is full-bodied and well-structured, showcasing velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and lift. Flavors of dark fruit compote are complemented by nuances of anise and a whisper of leather, leading to a lingering, savory finish. This wine exemplifies the potential of Southern Italian reds, offering both depth and elegance.
