Alois Lageder PORER Pinot Grigio is praised for its elegant balance of citrus, pear, and tropical fruit flavors, often accompanied by a creamy or mineral finish. While some appreciate its nuanced oak and floral notes, others find certain vintages lacking freshness. The wine's biodynamic approach and unique skin contact are highlighted, offering a sophisticated and versatile drinking experience.
The Alois Lageder PORER Pinot Grigio usually presents a bright straw-yellow color, sometimes with a slight pinkish hue, indicating a subtle skin contact during winemaking. The nose is greeted with an aromatic bouquet of ripe pears, white peaches, and a hint of citrus, complemented by floral notes and a minerally undertone. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and elegantly structured, with a refreshing acidity that highlights its fruitiness. Flavors of green apple, lemon zest, and a touch of almond are nuanced by a subtle herbal quality. The finish is clean and lingering, with a pleasing minerality and a hint of salinity.
