Voss Expert tasting note
The wine exudes aromas of ripe dark fruits, cassis, and blackberry. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied texture with a core of juicy red and blue fruits, and a hint of spice.

Rich, gentle red with a deep, concentrated red hue.\nAroma: Fruity and spicy, with touches of cola, blackberry, boysenberry, rum, toast, mocha, black pepper, and a hint of sweetness.\nTaste: Fruity and spicy, with layers of raspberry, chocolate, tobacco, sawdust, and a dry, gravelly finish.\nFairly oaky, but well-balanced. Medium-light body, with good tanginess and a firm tannin structure.\nOverall, a rich and comforting red wine with a rich, plush texture.
Ticey
Wine with a very dry character, with touches of earthy undertones on the nose. The color is a light cherry shade, but the generally touch is one of mild disappointment.
Farlene Vaslin
Decent option for a casual dining experience, with a rich, full-bodied color and enticing aromas of intense fruit, wet earth, and ripe black plum. The layers are earthy and well-balanced, with a satisfying medium finish. A worthwhile purchase for those aiming for a reliable, affordable option.

This Homestead Red Blend receives praise for its well-balanced structure and fruit-forward profile featuring blackberry, cherry, and plum notes. Many appreciate its smooth tannins, oak influences, and vanilla-spice undertones, though some find it overly dry or earthy. While described as full-bodied and complex by enthusiasts, a few note occasional disappointments in depth.
This Alexander Valley Vineyards Homestead Red Blend is a well-structured and elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The wine exudes aromas of ripe dark fruits, cassis, and blackberry. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied texture with a core of juicy red and blue fruits, and a hint of spice. The finish is long and smooth with a pleasing balance of oak and tannins. This is an enjoyable wine that pairs well with grilled meats and vegetables.
