Dick and Deirdre Shea are the owners and founders of Shea Wine Cellars. The business began in 1989 with first plantings as growers, selling fruit to other wineries. Rachel Silkowski is the winemaker.

The property is located in the northern Willamette Valley in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Shea Vineyard has 290 acres total with 155 planted acres, and Third Hill was added to the vineyard in 2013. The site sits on sedimentary soil over fractured sandstone with 5x7 vine spacing. There are 149 acres planted to Pinot Noir, and the balance is planted to Chardonnay. Farming follows sustainable methods as prescribed by LIVE, and the property is certified by LIVE. Roughly 20% of the estate's Pinot Noir fruit is retained for Shea Wine Cellars bottlings, and its wines include Homer.
On VinoVoss, Shea Wine Cellars has 2 wines in stock: 1 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 223 ratings.
