River Farm is a family-owned wine producer in Marlborough whose vineyards include O’Dwyers Farm in Rapaura, the Jones family’s original property. William Jones, a ploughman from Hereford, England, immigrated to New Zealand in 1864 and purchased land in Marlborough after an unsuccessful search for gold. Subsequent Jones generations expanded their Wairau Valley holdings, acquiring the Starborough homestead in the Awatere Valley in 1992.

At Starborough Terrace, on the Awatere River’s southern bank, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris grow on wind-blown loess over alluvial stony river gravels. To the east, Long Lane receives cooling Pacific easterlies and grows Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Its wines include Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc from O’Dwyers Farm in the Wairau Valley.
On VinoVoss, River Farm has 2 wines in stock: 2 white. Their average rating is 3.0 out of 5 from 1 rating.
