About Piattelli
Piattelli is a winery founded by Jon and Arlene Malinski, with winemaking operations in Mendoza and Cafayate. Principal winemaker Valeria Antolin has been with Piattelli since its inception and leads its winemaking in both regions. Alejandro Nesman is head winemaker for the Salta vineyards and manages Bodega Piattelli Cafayate. At its Cafayate vineyards, Piattelli has practised year-round rotational sheep grazing since 2018. It uses drip irrigation to conserve water, while composting reduces waste and creates beneficial microbiology that is returned to the soil to regenerate soil life. Native plant corridors run through the vineyard, providing pathways for native birds and mammals.
