OTU Wines

OTU Wines is a wine producer founded in 2000 and based in Marlborough’s coastal Awatere Valley, where winemaker Anna Remond makes Sauvignon Blanc.

The Otuwhero river runs through the estate, whose five vineyard blocks lie along the Pacific coast. Its vineyard and winery are certified sustainable, and carefully monitored drip irrigation supplies water only as needed, using river water collected during high winter flows and stored in reservoirs for summer. Native plants are also being reestablished around the vineyards along riverbanks, the coast and hillsides to support biodiversity. During winemaking, time on light lees adds texture and balance, while most of the wines are made without animal-derived products. Its wines include OTU Estate Sauvignon Blanc.
