Montevecchio

Montevecchio makes wines from grapes grown in its Heathcote vineyard. Its vegan-friendly wines include Montevecchio Bianco, Montevecchio Rosso and Montevecchio Moscato Frizzante. The Bianco is a field blend of hand-harvested grapes, whole-bunch pressed and co-fermented with wild yeast in a stainless steel tank. Its composition changes from vintage to vintage and may include Vermentino, Ribolla Gialla, Pecorino and Falanghina. Similarly, the Rosso is a co-fermented field blend of red Italian varieties, selected according to their performance that season. These may include Lagrein, Nero d’Avola, Sagrantino, Schioppettino and Pavana. The Moscato Frizzante, meanwhile, is made entirely from Moscato Giallo, a Moscato variety originating in north-eastern Italy.
