Monte Quieto

Monte Quieto is a family winery founded by Matilde Pereda and Agustín Casabal in 2000, when they began their winegrowing venture by buying a farm in Agrelo. Matilde and Agustín closely oversee every stage with their winemaker, Leonardo. Cabernet Franc grows at Finca Odisea in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, a 15-hectare vineyard at 950 meters above sea level. The vineyards also include Finca Los Hermanos in Ugarteche, Luján de Cuyo, and Finca Los Barrancos in Vista Flores, Tunuyán. Monte Quieto has a 45-year-old Malbec vineyard and has planted Cabernet Franc and Syrah. During winemaking, fermentation lasts 20 days and uses indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks.
