Mayer

Mayer is a winery in Mikulov founded by Pavel Mayer. After graduating from the University of Agriculture in Brno, Pavel joined an agricultural enterprise near Mikulov as a viticulturist and cellar master. While working there, he began making wine from a homestead vineyard in a rented cellar. His daughter, Erika Široká, continues the family tradition, farming about 2.5 hectares of vineyards with her family. These vineyards lie in the Turold vineyard tract in Mikulov. Its wines include Pinot Gris, Savilon, Chardonnay, Donauriesling and Rhine Riesling.
