Les Crêtes was founded in Aymavilles in 1989 by Costantino Charrère. The Charrère family originally emigrated from Grenoble to Aymavilles in the Aosta Valley in 1750. In 1800, the family constructed their historic building, which was designated of significant historical and artistic interest in 1983, and the family shifted production toward quality wines in 1955.

The estate has 35 hectares of vineyards divided into 180 small plots across 11 municipalities in the Aosta Valley, where the producer adheres to European guidelines for phytosanitary treatments, prioritizing limited pesticide use.
