Langmann is a wine estate in Weststeiermark at the foot of the Koralpe and has been in family ownership since 1746. The family includes Stefan Langmann senior and his wife Anna, their sons Günther and Stefan junior, Stefan junior’s wife Daniela, and Verena and Katja. Stefan senior, Stefan junior and Günther work daily alongside employees on the steep vineyard slopes.

The vineyards Langegg, Greisdorf, Hochgrail and Edla lie around Stainz, with vines reaching elevations of up to 620 metres above sea level. The family works with Blauer Wildbacher, the grape used to make the regional speciality Schilcher, and farming is close to nature, entirely by hand. Alongside Schilcher, its wines include sparkling wines whose base wines undergo a second fermentation in bottle, are riddled by hand and are disgorged at the estate after many months of ageing.
