Goutorbe Bouillot's family history includes winegrower Pierrette Bouillot, who married Jules Goutorbe in February 1913. In the 1950s, Jules Goutorbe entrusted his vineyards to his son-in-law, farmer Edmond Papleux. Located in Damery, in the Marne Valley, in the Champagne region, the estate's 8 hectares are planted with Pinot Meunier, 25% Pinot Noir, and 35% Chardonnay. Most of the vines are between 30 and 35 years old. Dominique and Bastien practice sustainable farming, organic by parcel, and use only organic soil amendments. Insecticides are eliminated and compost is spread on poor, sloped soils to enrich them and combat erosion. The estate holds Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) and Viticulture Durable certifications. The cellar uses a solera technique in vats and barrels where reserve wine is blended with the wine of the year.
On VinoVoss, Goutorbe Bouillot has 2 wines in stock: 2 sparkling. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 11 ratings.
