Franck Despagne's estate lies 10 kilometers from Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens, where Pierre Despagne was documented as an ox plowman in 1699. In 1972, Alain Despagne bought 6 hectares of vines in Montagne. In 1986, Alain's son Franck Despagne joined the estate, and later, in 1992, Alain and Franck Despagne established SCEV Despagne & Fils.

Franck Despagne leased 6 hectares of Bordeaux Supérieur at Château Lapourcaud Bellevue, and in 1988, Franck Despagne took on 5 hectares of vines in Lussac Saint-Emilion at Château Jamard Belcour. In 1999, Alain and Franck acquired the 6 hectares of Château Lapourcaud Bellevue. The estate encompasses a total size of 25 hectares, and its vineyards are located in the Montagne Saint-Emilion and Lussac Saint-Emilion appellations.
