Manuel Mas, a chemical engineer and businessman, founded Finca La Anita in 1992 to produce high-end wines in Mendoza. In 1992, the estate had only one Syrah pergola planted in 1947. In 2016, Swiss winemaker Bernard Fontannaz of the Les Celliers de Vetroz family purchased Finca La Anita, with Manuel Mas serving as brand ambassador. Swiss-born Richard Bonvin serves as president and winemaker.

The estate is located at the foot of the Andes mountain range in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, at 1,100 meters above sea level. It has 72 hectares planted with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, alongside Cabernet Franc planted in 2020. The vines average 30 years of age, grow on original rootstock, and are harvested by hand. Winemaking facilities include a production capacity of 600,000 litres, stainless steel tanks from 10,000 to 20,000 litres with individual cold and heat systems, a pneumatic press, and 70% French and 30% American barrels.
