De Wetshof is the first registered wine estate in the Robertson Wine Valley. The De Wet family’s winemaking heritage dates to 1694, when the first De Wets arrived at the Cape. Johann de Wet serves as CEO and oversees the vineyards, while his brother Peter manages finances and logistics. Both participate in winemaking and strategy with their father, Danie.

Around 80% of the farm is planted to Chardonnay, with different clones matched to specific sites. Limestone is complemented by shale and clay, with each soil component expressed in its own Chardonnay in the range. Its wines include Limestone Hill Chardonnay, Bon Vallon Chardonnay and Bateleur Chardonnay. Alongside its vineyard work, the estate removes invasive alien vegetation and replants indigenous trees, especially near the river.
On VinoVoss, De Wetshof has 3 wines in stock: 3 white. Their average rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 181 ratings.
