Château Tessendey is a wine estate in Fronsac that has been owned by the d’Arfeuille family since 1972. At that time, Martine and Paul-Bernard d’Arfeuille began an extensive programme of renovation in the vineyard and cellars. Arnaud d’Arfeuille took over Tessendey in 2012. He works with consultant Thomas Duclos.

A few hundred metres from the bell tower of Saillans, the estate’s plots form a homogeneous whole covering nine hectares around the château. The vineyard lies on clay and limestone rock, with Merlot occupying 75% and Cabernet Franc planted in the warmest soils. The tannins are refined through 15 months of barrel ageing.
