In 1875, British wine merchants Alfred and Walter Gilbey made Château Loudenne their base in France. Over a period of 125 years, the Gilbey family and their company built the vineyard's reputation, and Sophie and Christophe Gouache have owned it since 2022.

Located in the Médoc, 6 kilometers north of Saint-Estèphe, bordering the Gironde Estuary, the property totals 132 hectares, with 62 hectares planted with vines: 48 hectares of red varieties (50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot) and 14 hectares of white varieties (75% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Sémillon). Converted to organic farming in 2019, it is certified organic since 2022 and certified Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) Level 3 by OCACIA since the 2017 vintage. Its wines include white wine, produced since 1880, making it the oldest estate in the Médoc peninsula to do so.
On VinoVoss, Château Loudenne has 1 wine in stock: 1 red. Their average rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 57 ratings.
