Château Lespault Martillac is owned by the Jean-Claude Bolleau family. Since the 2009 vintage, the estate has been managed by Domaine de Chevalier, which belongs to the Bernard family, with Olivier Bernard as managing administrator.

Located on a gravel ridge overlooking the commune of Martillac, the estate encompasses 8 contiguous hectares on deep, slightly clayey gravel soils. It includes 7 hectares of red grapes (60% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, and 5% Malbec) and 1 hectare of white grapes (80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sémillon). Chemical weedkillers and fertilizers are banned, soils are mechanically weeded and plowed, and pests are controlled biologically. Harvesting is done by hand in small crates, and white grapes undergo slow pneumatic pressing for 3 hours, barrel fermentation for 2 weeks, and aging on lees with batonnage for 10 months without malolactic fermentation.
