Château La Caussade is a wine estate in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont belonging to the Armand family. The Armands have been independent winegrowers for several generations. After his studies, Augustin Allo Armand wanted to join the family business, where three generations work together. The terroir of Sainte-Croix-du-Mont features a fossilized oyster bed dating to the Tertiary era. The estate’s vines grow on two distinct soil types: clay and limestone, and sandy loam. High planting density, along with the choice of suitable grape varieties and rootstocks, helps encourage low yields. The estate has been certified HVE level 3 since the 2017 vintage.
