Château de Lescours served as a refuge in 1582 and 1583 for Henri de Navarre, later King Henri IV. The winery building dates from the 19th century. The Chariol family has lived at the estate, and Lucie is the owner of Château de Lescours. The first vines were planted at the estate in the 19th century. On just over 6 hectares in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, Château de Lescours practices reasoned agriculture with mechanical soil work. The vat room was built in the early 1950s and is fitted with 19 concrete vats and 2 stainless steel vats. A portion of the vintage is aged for 12 months in barrels, 25% of which are new. Its wines include L de Lescours, a special cuvée created in 2000 by Pierre Chariol from the estate's oldest vines, matured exclusively in new barrels.
