Château Dauzac’s earliest known owner in the area was Pétrus d’Auzac in 1190, who received the land from Richard the Lionheart. In 1685, Bordeaux wine merchant and Treasurer General of France Pierre Drouillard developed Château Dauzac into a Médoc estate. In 1924, the Johnston family acquired the estate and introduced its yellow label. French insurance company MAIF acquired Château Dauzac as sole owner in 1989, before the Roulleau family purchased the estate in 2020.

Château Dauzac is a Margaux Grand Cru Classé according to the 1855 classification. The estate has a 49-hectare total vineyard, with 45 hectares in Margaux and 4 in Haut-Médoc. For tilling, it works with Bioboon Agrology providing inputs made from 100% natural raw materials. Château Dauzac constructed a new gravity-flow wine cellar in 2004 and produces 100% vegan wines. Its wines include a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon cuvée unveiled in 2021, made from ungrafted vines and aged in dolia.
