Château Bellegrave is an estate in the south of the commune of Pauillac. Formerly owned by Armand Roux, it was acquired in 1901 by his associate and sole successor, Monsieur Van-Der-Voort, a merchant in San Francisco. In 1997, Jean-Paul Meffre bought the property; he already owned Châteaux du Glana and Lalande in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle.

Its Garonne gravel soils promote drainage and release heat accumulated during the day to the grape clusters. Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the planting at 62%, alongside 31% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, which adds complexity to the blends.
