About Cartlidge & Browne
Cartlidge & Browne was founded in Napa Valley in 1980 by Tony Cartlidge and Glen Browne. The two founders were among the earliest adopters of an American “garagiste” tradition. Winemaker Russ Fish is a Sonoma native and a UC Davis graduate with a master’s in Viticulture and Enology. Before joining Cartlidge & Browne, he gained winemaking experience at various Sonoma County wineries.
Fish’s winemaking philosophy mirrors that of the winery’s founders, with an emphasis on sourcing grapes from the diverse North Coast region to create balanced, fruit-forward wines.
