Bira is a wine producer founded in 2017 by Santiago Bernasconi and winemaker Federico Isgró, working with old vineyards in the Uco Valley. The two friends’ search for their family roots led to a project making red blends unusual for Argentina.

The search for Sangiovese for its blends led to a pergola vineyard planted in 1970 and a trellised vineyard planted in 1967. A similar search found Malvasía in a trellised vineyard planted in 1964. Other grapes include Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, with Cabernet Sauvignon in Altamira, San Carlos. Near Villa Chacón, a Syrah pergola planted in 1978 grows at 1,050 metres on silt-loam soil, with furrow irrigation and annual applications of goat manure. Its winemaking includes microfermentations from selected Uco Valley vineyards.
On VinoVoss, Bira has 1 wine in stock: 1 red. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 1 rating.
