Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) is associated with Château Lafite Rothschild in Bordeaux, first noted as a wine producer in 1234. The château earned Premier Grand Cru Classé status in 1855, before Baron James de Rothschild acquired Lafite in 1868. Olivier Trégoat, Technical Director for Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite, advocates a flexible understanding of terroir to adapt to climate change.

At Lafite, biodynamic trials began in 2017, with a four-hectare experimental setup on the Carruades plateau comparing alternating strips with and without biodynamic preparations. These trial plots share the same organic farming practices, while a further 11 hectares receive biodynamic preparations without alternating strips. Alongside this vineyard work, the château’s winemaking facilities include an underground cellar designed by Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill, inaugurated in 1987 and spanning 4,000 square metres of poured concrete.
On VinoVoss, Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) has 1 wine in stock: 1 red.
