Babich is a family-owned wine producer in New Zealand, where Josip Babich planted vines in 1912. The Babich family has made wine since 1916, with four generations contributing to its winemaking. Babich has also exported wines internationally since 1980.

Babich has nine vineyard estates, and its viticulture team works from Marlborough to Hawke’s Bay. It has been certified organic since 2009, and its Headwaters Vineyard in Marlborough is fully organic. Its two family-owned wineries are in Auckland and Marlborough; the Auckland winery houses bottling and warehousing facilities, while the Marlborough winery was commissioned in 2014. The Marlborough facility has capacity to harvest Babich’s entire Marlborough production in 12 days and ferment over 100 different parcels of grapes.
