Anko is made by Estancia Los Cardones. Estancia Los Cardones was founded by the Saavedra Azcona family in partnership with engineer and winemaker Alejandro Sejanovich. Estancia Los Cardones has shallow, rocky vineyard soils in the Calchaquí Valleys, with splintered slate at the surface and disintegrated mica. Estancia Los Cardones’ first vine plantings date to 2009. Estancia Los Cardones grows mainly Malbec, alongside Petit Verdot, Garnacha, Cabernet and Marsanne. Anko Malbec is made entirely from Malbec, gently destemmed and cold-macerated for seven days. Anko Malbec ferments with native yeasts for 13 days, undergoes full malolactic fermentation and ages for six months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
On VinoVoss, Anko has 3 wines in stock: 2 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 61 ratings.
