About Altosur
Altosur is a wine range of Sophenia. Sophenia was founded by Roberto Luka, who was among the first to plant vines in Gualtallary; Joaquín Martin is the winemaker for the Altosur range. Altosur’s vineyards lie at 1,200 metres above sea level on loose, highly permeable alluvial soils, with special pruning, irrigation and canopy management. Sophenia also uses sustainable and organic growing practices that respect the surrounding environment. Altosur’s wines include a blend of 85% Chardonnay, 10% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Semillón.
