This Pinot Noir presents a vibrant pale ruby hue, opening with a bouquet of red cherry, wild strawberry, and subtle hints of rose petals, underscored by a delicate whisper of earthiness. On the first sip, the wine is light to medium-bodied, showcasing a harmonious interplay of juicy red fruit and supple, silky tannins, complemented by a refreshing acidity that provides lift and balance. The palate is soft and broad with a touch of red fruits and floral notes persist, leading to a clean, fruity, albeit relatively brief finish.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

The Yalumba Y Series Pinot Noir is crafted from grapes grown in South Australia's cool climate regions, which are ideal for this varietal. The vineyards benefit from a maritime influence, providing cooling breezes that help maintain acidity and freshness in the fruit. This wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel to preserve its vibrant fruit character to allow the natural varietal flavors of Pinot Noir to shine. The result is a light-bodied Pinot Noir with bright red berry notes, subtle spice, and a smooth, approachable finish, designed for immediate enjoyment.
