This Vicchiomaggio San Jacopo Chianti Classico reveals a pale to medium ruby color with slight orange reflections. The nose is delicate with notes of sour cherries, cranberries and red plums. These fruit aromas are accompanied by hints of tomato leaf, heavily stewed black tea and an underlying earthy character reminiscent of potting soil. The palate is lean and taut, driven by acidity and framed by grippy tannins. The red fruits re-emerge on the finish with layers of spice, and a hint of leather.

Vicchiomaggio San Jacopo Chianti Classico is praised for its full-bodied texture, rich cherry and plum flavors, and balanced acidity. While some appreciate its smooth tannins and complex notes of leather and cedar, others find certain vintages less impressive. The wine's versatility pairs well with various dishes, though opinions vary on its aging potential. Overall, it offers a satisfying and classic Tuscan experience.
