Ver Sacrum Garnacha 2024

Ver Sacrum Garnacha is a distinguished wine crafted from 100% hand-harvested Grenache Noir sourced from a single vineyard nestled in the Los Chacayes subzone within the Uco Valley of Mendoza, Argentina. Cultivated on the renowned Ver Sacrum estate spanning 15 acres and planted in 2012, the vineyard sits at an elevation of 3600 feet, benefiting from sustainable farming practices. The terroir boasts alluvial-calcareous soil enriched with large river stones, fostering optimal grape development. This Garnacha undergoes meticulous winemaking under the expertise of Eduardo Soler, featuring 25% whole cluster fermentation with native yeast. Following 7 days of semi-carbonic maceration and 18 days of fermentation pressed juice in 3000L unlined cement egg, the wine matures for 7 months in a blend of 50% concrete egg and 50% used French oak. Exhibiting vibrant aromas of red cherry, raspberry, sage, and thyme, the wine unfolds into a light mid-palate with nuanced hints of cinnamon, brown sugar, and lemon balm.
