Vecchia Torre Salice Salentino is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with notes of blackberry, cherry, and forest floor. While some appreciate its smooth texture and lingering finish, others find it lacks complexity and has low acidity. The wine's robust flavors and earthy undertones make it a versatile pairing for hearty dishes, though its oaky profile may not suit everyone.
Vecchia Torre Salice Salentino has an impressively deep dark color in the glass. The nose bursts with notes of dark fruits such as blackberry and plum, along with notes of spice. On the palate, this wine is characterized by its robust and velvety texture, supported by flavors of ripe black fruits, including black cherry and blackcurrant, complemented by spice from the aging process. The tannins are well-integrated, providing structure and a pleasant mouthfeel.
