Wine Description:
Vadiaperti Fiano di Avellino is produced in the Campania region of Italy. The Fiano grapes are farmed according to organic methods but are not certified. The vines are planted on a combination of volcanic “tufo,” mineral-rich and well-draining soils. Grapes are harvested from estate vineyards located at high elevation, which helps reduce temperatures and prolong the growing season. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled tanks. The wine is aged in tank on fine lees prior to bottling.
Pros:
  • Excellent purity of fruit and good flavor definition with detailed citrus and pineapple notes

Cons:
  • Restrained and mineral style not suitable for fans of overtly fruity wines

Wine Expert Note:

Vadiaperti Fiano di Avellino has a stunning nose brimming with ripe citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, along with hints of tropical fruits and floral notes. These aromas are complemented by a subtle mineral undertone, adding depth and complexity to the wine. The palate of Vadiaperti Fiano di Avellino is characterized by its crisp acidity that balance the flavors of citrus fruits. These are accompanied by notes of pineapple, mango, and a touch of honey. The wine has a medium body and a long, refreshing finish marked by lightly grilled almonds.
